Storm Creek LLC operates stormcreek.org and runs classes and events at 2235 Gunn Poole Rd, Mebane, North Carolina. By using this site or attending one of our classes, you agree to what follows.
We run hands-on classes for homeschool families and outdoors-minded people — land navigation, pioneer skills, foraging, metal casting and similar. We are not a school, a camp, or a childcare service.
Some classes are booked through us, and some through the instructor's own booking system. Where a class is booked elsewhere, that booking is between you and that instructor, and their terms and refund policy apply, not ours.
Class sizes are limited and places are first come, first served. If we have to cancel a class we will tell you as soon as we know and refund anything you paid us directly.
Most classes require a signed liability waiver before a participant takes part. Where the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign.
Unless a class is expressly described as drop-off, it is not. A parent or responsible adult stays with their child for the duration.
Our classes happen outdoors and in a working shop, on uneven ground, in weather, sometimes around fire, tools, and hot metal. There is real risk in that and you accept it when you attend. We run classes with first aid on site and instructors trained in basic first aid and CPR, and we take safety seriously — but we cannot remove every hazard, and nothing here promises we can.
Follow the instructions of the instructors. Stay with your group. Do not take, damage, or interfere with property, animals, equipment, or the land. No firearms are brought by participants. We may ask anyone to leave, without refund, if they put themselves or anyone else at risk.
We photograph and film our classes. Our liability waiver states that images may be used to advertise Storm Creek, and that extreme close-up frontal facial angles and names will not be published without prior approval. We hold to that. If you appear in something we have published and want it removed, email us and we will take it down.
We keep the information here as accurate as we can, but dates, prices and details change. What a class actually costs and includes is what is stated at the point you register. Links to other sites are offered for convenience; we do not control them and are not responsible for them.
The text, photographs and video on this site belong to Storm Creek LLC or to the instructors who taught the classes. Do not republish them commercially without asking.
To the extent the law allows, Storm Creek LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or attendance at a class. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Any signed waiver governs where it conflicts with this page.
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you use the site or attend a class is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the law of the State of North Carolina.
